We're looking forward to returning to Sacred Lands,
September 16, 2022!
Here is the Press Release on that show. Hope to see you there!
SACRED LANDS is a beautiful waterfront botanical garden, 501c3 organization and has rich native American history. We will start our fall season of concerts on Friday, September 16, 2022. Mark your calendars for this rare concert. The concert will be held OUTSIDE on the Dolphin Stage with the statewide popular folk band “STILL FRIENDS” from south Florida.
The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. and seating will be limited to 50 people with a $15.00 admission. Therefore, reservations and prepayment are suggested.
You can prepay in two ways:
1) Visit the Sacred Lands new website at www.sacredlandspreservation.org and click on the DONATE button on the home page to make your payment. After payment your name will be added to a “Reservation” list for check in at the gate
OR
2) You can mail a check to Sacred Lands, 1620 Park St. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33710. We recommend that our guests follow COVID safety procedures such as safe distancing and wearing masks except while eating at your table.
An optional homemade dinner will be available with a main entree, green salad, fruit, and brownies for $10.00. The dinner starts at 7:00. Please add the cost of dinners to your pay-pal payment or call to reserve your dinners at the same time as concert reservation so we have enough food available. It was a big, big night. In the words of our good friend/headliner Michael Tolcher, "The vibe doesn't get higher than that". Yeah, we felt it, it was great,
thanks to all of you who were able to eat, drink, boogie, and repeat with us
that night. Keep it up!

In Other News:
We really are working on a recording project! Promise!
We hope to have an EP ready later this Spring, with the help of our new sound guy, Sam Luterotti. We're hoping it will have a fresh feel to it, sort of as if you were sitting in the circle with us. That's when we're happiest with the music. Hope it all comes through on the recording!
Here are some shots of our first session, at The Meeting Place (in Steve's music room that we're so honored to play in, every time.)

Willfest, March 2012:
And the season is almost done. The weather is changing, and we remember why we love living where we do, so much. Festival season has been busy, and satisying!
We kicked off a series of shows at Artsensation 2011, at the Charlotte Harbour Events Center (Nov. 2011). It was a nice, short set, with an excellent sound man (thanks Nick!) , some new material, new instrumentation...things are staying fresh with Still Friends.
The SteveFest Concert Series has kicked off, November 19 at the History Park on Shreve Street. Screamin' and Cryin' opened up for us. It was some good, down home music that night. Check out our calendar page for the other shows! And mark that calendar!
The SteveFest organizers have managed to create a festival animal that can be walked on a leash, versus the single big event which can, overwhelmingly, walk the owner. It's been great to play with Jack Williams, Roy Schneider, and Slaid Cleaves last season. This season, we've shared the stage with Screamin' and Cryin', Still on the Hill, Ben Prestage, and coming soon: Copper Box!
The Will McLean Festival is one of our favorites, and the new configuration of Still Friends: Carrie, Japhy, Tiffiny and Reed, was joined by Dan Leach on the Magnolia Stage for our Saturday evening set. What fun, to have a five piece playing together again! On Sunday, at the Azalea stage, the four piece Still Friends played a set full of good energy, and just as much fun. Until next year, WillFest!
We are gearing up for an April 20 show in Punta Gorda, planning some recording for an EP release soon! And, the Florida Folk Festival is on the horizon, Memorial Day Weekend up in White Springs.
